An evaluation includes a review of relevant case history, face-to-face evaluation time with the client using standardized testing as appropriate, test scoring, analysis of the information gathered, a written report, and a 15 minute phone consultation to explain the results and answer any questions. Contact to schedule.
Therapy sessions are 30 or 60 minutes long, which includes around 5 minutes at the end of the session to debrief the client or parents about the session and explain any homework assigned. The most effective length for sessions will be discussed during scheduling. Sessions are conducted in the client's home, or in an alternate location arranged by the client, such as a park, daycare, or conference room. Telepractice may also be an option, but not all clients or types of therapy are compatible with telepractice. An evaluation to determine appropriate goals or the written report from an evaluation conducted elsewhere within the last year is required prior to beginning therapy sessions. Contact to schedule.
If you are not certain what services might be needed for yourself or your child, or if Personal Speech Therapy's services would be appropriate, you can schedule a free 15 minute phone consultation. You may also call or email if you have questions that are not answered on this website.
Consultation with other professionals involved in the care of the client, such as a school speech language pathologist, occupational therapist, ABA therapist, etc., is generally included in the cost of therapy sessions.
